The City Council approved the construction of a new municipal soccer stadium in Einav center, which will be used for national league games and large cultural performances. Mayor Haim Bibas: "A historic moment for the city."
After months of in-depth planning and examination, Modi’in Maccabim Re'ut City Council approved the construction of an advanced municipal soccer stadium in the city at its last meeting - historic news for residents, sports fans and the city's leisure culture.
The move, led by Mayor Haim Bibas, comes after professional staff work that included field tests, learning from processes in other cities, and advancing transportation and planning solutions that will serve the stadium and the general public.
The stadium will be built in Einav center - a strategic location that offers excellent transportation accessibility thanks to the nearby Pa’atei Modi'in train station and a parking lot with approximately 750 spaces. The stadium will have approximately 6,000 seats and will meet all the standards and requirements of the Israel Football Association for hosting games in the national league and later in the Premier League. The facility will also be used for major cultural events.
The total cost of building the stadium, including development work, is estimated at approximately 150 million shekels. To speed up the process, construction will be carried out using the “planning and execution” method, which will allow for meeting tight schedules while maintaining high standards.
Alongside the stadium, a new multi-purpose sports hall will also be built, with approximately 2,600 seats, which will host basketball, volleyball and other cultural events – a move that will strengthen Modi’in Maccabim Re’ut’s status as a significant regional sports center.
Mayor Haim Bibas: "This is a strategic step that grew out of a long-term vision. We planned, we tested, we learned - and now we are getting started. The stadium will upgrade the municipal infrastructure, provide a solution for the growing sports teams in the city, and allow us to host major events. This is another step in making Modi'in Maccabim Re'ut a leading city in culture, sports, and infrastructure."
