The city provides its residents with a robust cultural life. Modiin Maccabim Reut has sport, recreational and cultural activities throughout the year for residents of all ages. The cultural events include festivals, live music, concerts, movies, plays, literature, sing-a-longs, and summer events with free admission.

The city invests in the arts by promoting and encouraging urban artists, displaying temporary exhibitions and hosting a variety of events.

The flagship event in the city is the International Circus Festival in Israel that takes place each year on Chol Hamoed Sukkot.

The city is transformed into a circus arena for three days. The International Circus Festival hosts the best circus artists from Israel and abroad. There are a variety of spectacular shows open to the general public.

The shows include acrobatics, air shows, juggling, clowns, dancing, pyrotechnics, pantomime and theater.

The city houses two cultural centers. The municipal Cultural Center (Heichal HaTarbut) has 600 seats, an amphi with 150 seats, and an art gallery that hosts exhibitions and cultural activities. Einan Hall in Azrieli Mall has 350 seats and a spacious lobby and reception area.

These two halls host plays and shows from all areas of art and culture on the national level.

The construction of the new cutting-edge Hasmonean Heritage Center and the Interdisciplinary Center for Music and Culture will greatly add to the city’s cultural standing. In addition a new Water and Surfing park is under construction.
