Modiin Maccabim Reut prides itself on the green areas seen throughout the city. The city sits on 56,000 dunams of which over 50% are green areas – part scenic and the other part landscaped. A special emphasis is placed on the development and maintenance of the green areas in the city.

Modiin Maccabim Reut is one of the only cities in Israel whose main roads have open spaces with gardens and flowers.
There are many parks with unique playgrounds, benches and awnings that enable residents to enjoy the quality parks all year round.
The many open green areas in the city include valleys, public parks, groves and major avenues.
The city streets are decorated with a variety of Israeli ornamental and fruit trees, suited to the local climate and environment.

  The department is responsible for the cleanliness of the city, including the removal of household garbage, trash, and scrap, mechanical and manual cleaning, pest control and weeding of the cisterns.
