Recycling

Recycling is carried out by sorting waste into the various bins, from which it is taken to designated facilities that transform the waste back into raw materials, which can be reused. In doing so, two important goals are achieved:

1. Saves on new resources.
2. Reduces the amount of waste intended for landfill.

The following materials can be recycled:

• Bottle collection
• Paper collection
• Carton/ cardboard collection
• Battery collection and electronic waste
• Textile collection
• Glass collection

Preventative measures to protect the environment:

• buying only products we really need
• avoid using disposable goods
• shopping with multi-purpose bags

Recycling points for various materials and items (Hebrew)

Many items or materials that have completed their original role can be reused. Whenever we throw something in the trash, consider whether it can be used again, or for another purpose.

For example: Bottles and jars can be used repeatedly for storage. Old furniture can be donated. Plastic bags can be used again.
