“When there are no more words”

26/03/2025 כ"ו אדר תשפ"ה

The current exhibition of body painting by bereaved mothers is being displayed in the conference hall at the Multidisciplinary Center. A powerful, moving and painful exhibition that invites the audience to be exposed to a personal and social journey.

The exhibition is part of International Women's Month events, and takes the participants on a journey led by bereaved mothers, who chose to tell their story through body art. The exhibition is led by artist Tal Bracha, who leads the project in collaboration with the municipality.

Through body painting, the body becomes a living, breathing canvas, expressing everything that words fail to express. Through the paintings, each of the mothers tells the story of bereavement, loss, endless love, hope and heartbreak. Works that touch the heart, provoke thought and open a window to the deep inner world of women who live with daily pain, and who chose to turn it into a statement.

Mayor Haim Bibas: "Sometimes there are no words. But the body remembers, and the heart speaks. I met wonderful women, dear mothers, each of whom carries in her heart a pain that has no name, a longing that has no end. This is a chilling, painful exhibition but also full of light, courage and hope. We hug you always."

The exhibition invites Israeli society to stop. To listen and see, and to understand the pain and heroism of these mothers, and to give space to a discourse on bereavement, femininity and hope. The exhibition is open until 29.4.25 in the conference hall at the Multidisciplinary Center. To schedule a visit, call 08-6226732.
