More than 8,000 runners are expected to take part in the Modiin Run and enjoy five running routes in the city's major sporting event.
The start of the 10 km race will be at 06:45 and one after the other the runners in the various trackes will start. The last track to start is the young childrens’ race which will start at 10:30. The oldest runner who registered for the race is an 84-year-old runner and the youngest is a 3-year-old who is registered with his parents for the young race.
Also taking part are members of the Sports Club for People with Blindness and Visual Impairments, and the Eye Contact Modiin RUN2TRI Triathlon Group.
From early morning until the end of the event, changes will apply to traffic arrangements on the streets surrounding the race route.
The following streets will be closed to vehicle traffic:
Emek Dotan, Emek Jezreel, Yair Parag Blvd., Menachem Begin Blvd. (North) from Kikar HaShoter to Kikar Leah Amenu. These streets will be closed and opened according to the progress of the runners.
Emek Dotan Street (South) from the corner of Nahal Ayon Street to Yair Parag Blvd. and Emek Dotan Street (North) from Holmes Place Square/Klil HaHoresh to Yair Parag Blvd. will be closed to traffic from 04:30 to 11:00.
Emek Jezreel Street (even numbers) from the corner of Emek Dotan Street to the corner of Nahal Yarmouk and Emek Jezreel Street (odd numbers) from the corner of Emek Dotan Street to the corner of Nahal Bezeq Street will be closed to traffic from 04:30 to 12:00.
Nahal Betzet Street will be closed to vehicle exit/entry from 05:00 to 11:00. In addition, vehicles will not be able to exit Emek Dotan Street from Nahal Ga'aton and Nahal Taninim streets from 05:00 to 11:00.
Yair Parag Blvd. will be blocked in both directions from 05:30. Access to Yair Parag Blvd. from Emek HaHula Street will not be possible until 09:30.
From 06:00 to 09:00, entry and exit from Maccabim will not be permitted via Maccabim Blvd. and Prof. Yair Parag Rd. During these hours, exit from Maccabim will only be allowed from Derech Rishonim Street (the northern entrance), towards 443 only, and this will be directed by a police vehicle.
In Re'ut, entry and exit towards Yair Parag Blvd. and Menachem Begin Blvd. will not be allowed from 05:30 to 08:30. After 08:30, exit/entry to Reut will be allowed for those coming from Menachem Begin Blved. only. Exit and entry to Reut for those coming from Yair Parag Blvd. will be allowed after 09:30.
Exit/entry from Reut towards HaShvatim neighborhood (Levi Street) will be allowed from 05:30 to 08:30. The way between Reut and the HaShvatim neighborhood will be via Ela Street, Mishol Oz Tzemach, the neighborhood park and from there to Levi Street.
Additional streets that will be closed to traffic:
Menachem Begin Blvd. (South) will be closed from kikar HaShoter to kikar Leah Imeinu from 05:30 to 08:30. Vehicle traffic will be allowed for those coming from Esther Hamalka Street and on Menachem Begin Blvd. on the road adjacent to the houses.
The municipality also announced that residents of Emek Dotan Blvd. are asked to park their vehicles in private parking lots and not on Emek Dotan Blvd.. In accordance with the instructions of the Modi'in Police, vehicles parked on Emek Dotan Street from Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 10:00 pm will be towed to the Heichal Hatarbut parking lot.
