On Monday, March 3, 2025, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new "Eretz HaTzabar" State School in Moreshet neighborhood in Modi'in. The moving ceremony was attended by Mayor Haim Bibas, the school principal Meirav Zeidman, school staff, and the students.
Eretz HaTzabar school, which was established in 2023, and is currently housed in the Eretz HaTzvi School, is expected to expand significantly with the completion of the new construction. The new building will include 24 classrooms spread over three floors, which will allow the school to accommodate additional students and expand its educational activities.
The new building includes not only classrooms, but also advanced facilities that will enrich the students' learning experience: innovative laboratories and learning spaces in school hallways, a sports hall, a sports field, a school library, a spacious courtyard with landscaping and shade, an ecological educational garden, which will serve as an educational tool to raise awareness of the environment and sustainability.
In addition, daycare for infants and four kindergartens will also be built in the area of the school , creating a central educational center for young families in the Moreshet neighborhood.
The work, carried out by the Municipality's Public Buildings Department, is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026.
Mayor Haim Bibas emphasized the importance of the project: "Investing in education is investing in the future of our city. Eretz HaTzabar school is an excellent example of our educational vision in Modi'in Maccabim Re'ut, which combines academic excellence with social and environmental values."
