On Friday, February 14th 2025, a city-wide tree planting event in honor of Tu BeShvat will be held in three locations throughout the city. This arrangement allows as many residents and families as possible to join the celebration and increase the natural vegetation species over the city.
At the event, which will be led by the Culture and Events Department and the Gardening and Landscape Department, a wide variety of seedlings of various types will be distributed for planting.
A total of 5,000 seedlings will be planted in the following locations – Givat Ashon in the Moreshet neighborhood (the entrance to the hill is from Chaim Weizman Street), Sderot Hashmonaim in the lot next to the caravan site, and in the Nofim neighborhood on Sderot Hamam and the corner of Sderot Anaba.
Planting will take place between 9:00 and 14:00. Admission is free.
