On 17.1.25, 19 teams from the city and surrounding areas participated in the traditional competition produced by ORT Ironi Daled High School in preparation for the national and international robotics competitions.
High school students of the robotics project from ORT Ironi Daled planned, produced and executed an impressive program led by Adi Chiprot, mentor of the robotics project at the school.
The competition was attended by 19 teams from elementary schools and high schools in the city and surrounding areas, with about 300 participants and 50 volunteers. Among them was Yossi Karl, resident of the city, coordinator of the FLL program in Modi'in and a veteran arena judge.
The competition was held against the backdrop of preparations for the official preliminary competitions of the FIRST project, and it allowed for experience in real competition conditions, to receive professional feedback and to prepare in the best possible way for the competition.
The competition included competitive teams in which robots built from engineering Lego competed and were programmed to perform specific tasks. In parallel with the teams, the innovation projects and robot design of the various groups were judged and evaluated, in accordance with the high standards of FIRST.
The robotics competition is an excellent example of educational activity taking place at the school, encouraging students to develop skills ranging from engineering and science to entrepreneurship and creative thinking.
