Road upgrade in Emek Dotan

12/01/2025 י"ב טבת תשפ"ה

On Sunday, January 12, roadwork will begin on Emek Dotan Street. It will be carried out in three stages finishing on 30.1.25, during which sections of the street will be closed to traffic. Please note changes in traffic arrangements.

The Ministry of Public Works continues the municipal program to upgrade roads and infrastructure in the city's oldest neighborhoods.

The work will focus on upgrading the road on Emek Dotan Street, and will begin next week, in three phases. In the first phase, work will be carried out on Emek Dotan Street, on the side of the odd-numbered buildings for drivers from west to east (to Yair Parag Boulevard).

This phase will begin on Sunday, 12.1.25 at 09:00 and will include changes in traffic arrangements.

Starting on Sunday, 12.1.25, until Thursday, 16.1.25 at 19:00 the street will be blocked in the section between the Emek Dotan/Emek HaHula/Arar intersection to the Emek Dotan/Nahal Ayun/Ginat Dotan intersection. Please note that the entrance and exit to the commercial center parking lot at Marlaz will only be on the north side of the parking lot.

From Sunday 19.1.25 at 09:00 until Thursday 23.1.25 at 19:00 the street will be blocked in the section between Emek Jezreel circle and the Emek Dotan/Nahal Ga'aton intersection (not including the intersection). Traffic will not be allowed between the blocked section and the intersecting streets. Entry and exit to the parking lots of Malibu Commercial Center and the Ofek School will be allowed from the north side of the road.

The last section that will be blocked starting Sunay 26.1.25 from 09:00 until 30.1.25 at 19:00 is the section between the Emek Dotan/Nahal Ga'aton intersection and the Emek Dotan/Yair Pereg intersection (not including the intersection). Traffic will not be allowed in this section and the intersecting streets. Those arriving at the Emek Dotan/Nahal Ga'aton intersection while traveling east on Emek Dotan will be able to turn right onto Nahal Ga'aton Street or left towards Cross Emek Dotan.

The municipality stated that student drop-off and pick-up at the Ofek School entrance will take place as usual, according to the hours written on the signage. Entry and exit to the school parking lot will only be allowed for the disabled and for faculty members from the north entrance only (contrary to the current traffic direction).

Parking of vehicles in the parking bays is prohibited during the work.

Access to the parking lots of the buildings where work will be carried out or in the parking bays on the street will not be allowed. The work will continue throughout the day. Changes to the work may occur due to the weather.
