The Home Front Command has conducted a comprehensive inspection of the suitability of public shelters in Modi'in Maccabim Re'ut, which resulted in the highest ranking : “In very good order”.
As part of the inspection, which was conducted in three cycles between the end of June and the beginning of November 2024, the readiness of the public shelters was examined at a maintenance level that was defined as very high.
The inspection is very significant during this period, in the shadow of the war and the complex situation, which requires high emergency preparedness, in the event of alarms in the city, which require staying in the public shelters, and that they are prepared and tidy for any scenario.
As is known, the public shelters in Maccabim and Reut were opened to all residents starting on 7.10.24 and are still open. The Security and Emergency Department invests heavily in maintaining the shelters to ensure that they are prepared and ready for any eventuality that may be required, any day and at any time.
In previous years, the highest score was also given to the suitability of the shelters. This is thanks to the ongoing inspections that are carried out throughout the year and even more so during the war. The inspections are managed the Security and Emergency Administration in the municipality through security patrols.
