The Ministry of Education published the names of the outstanding secondary schools for the year 2023-24: Ulpant Bnei Akiva Orot Modi'in, Yachad High School, Yeshivat Bnei Akiva Lapid, Mor High School, Ironi Gimmel and Amit Girls High School.
The schools were selected from the district of Jerusalem and the criteria were based on the weighting of a series of indicators that showed great improvement compared to last year in the values, social and academic fields.
Also taken into account were the prevention of student dropouts, a high rate of recruitment into the IDF or civil-national service, the high percentage of eligibility for matriculation, the acceptance of special education students, the percentage of excellence in the matriculation exams, the percentage of eligibility for a high-standard matriculation certificate and the degree of improvement compared to the previous year's achievements.
The winning schools were ranked the highest out of 878 schools that passed the threshold. This means that each teacher will receive a bonus ranging from NIS 3,544 to NIS 9,453, in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Education, the teachers' organization and the Ministry of Finance, as part of the "Oz LeTmura" reform.
